Deliverance Ministry

The story of Mary Magdalene, as found in John Chapter 8,  is the perfect example of how the forgiveness of sins can lead to deliverance from demons. In John chapter 8, the scribes and pharisees brought Mary Magdalene to Jesus to test Him. Jesus knowing that they were hypocrites,challenged them by reminding them that they too were sinful, and most likely were fornicators themselves (He who looks at a woman with lust, has committed adultery with her in his heart, Matthew 5:27-28). This is why we need Jesus. No matter how good we may think we are, we are still sinners that need a savior. Now we know that indeed Mary Magdalene was caught in adultery, a charge like this most likely required to be witnessed by 2 or 3 witnesses. If Jesus had answered incorrectly, He could have been arrested.  2 things are important in this story: He without sin cast the first stone (John 8:7). In the book of Genesis Chapter 15, God establishes the Abrahamic Covenant. In this chapter, God asked Abram to make a sacrifice so that Abram could receive a blessing. There is a verse, verse 11 to be exact, which tells us that birds of prey came down on the carcasses and Abram had to chase them away. Now this verse would be insignificant if you had no idea of it's significance. These birds of prey represented demons, that wanted to steal Abram's blessings away. It is the same way with you. Every time God wants to give you a blessing you can expect birds of prey to come to steal your blessing. It's up to you to chase them away.
