The story of Mary Magdalene, as found in John Chapter 8,  is the perfect example of how the forgiveness of sins can lead to deliverance from demons. In John chapter 8, the scribes and pharisees brought Mary Magdalene to Jesus to test Him. Jesus knowing that they were hypocrites,challenged them by reminding them that they too were sinful, and most likely were fornicators themselves (He who looks at a woman with lust, has committed adultery with her in his heart, Matthew 5:27-28). This is why we need Jesus. No matter how good we may think we are, we are still sinners that need a savior. Someone asked me, “Is it Biblical to talk to demons? After all...Jesus didn’t speak to demons.” We have to be careful with this. This is not totally true. Jesus did in fact did speak to demons. In Mark 5:9 we see that Jesus speaks to the demon Legion. 1) He asked Legion: What is your name? 2) He gave permission to Legion to enter the pigs. This is a warning: Do not be have conversations with demons. Only ask for information you need to have a successful deliverance. As a matter of fact, when they start talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the deliverance...it is best to tell them to shut up. When you begin to have conversations with demons you are actually opening up yourself to demonic oppression.
